Kandy

This hill country city with its refreshing climate is considered to be the home of
traditional Sri Lanka Culture centred on the 19th Century. Man – made Kandy Lake,
built by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. This city is also
home to the sacred tooth of the Budddha – symbol of the sovereignty of this island.
The tooth came to Kandy in 1590 and still remains ensconced in it’s own temple the
famous Dalada Maligawa. Kandy is a treasure house of art and culture.

Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden. This garden is easily one of the best of its kind
in the World. The many beautiful avenues will lead one to sections, which provide a

Nuwara Eliya

Popularly known as "Little England". The cool, picturesque 1890 m. high hill resort,
modeled as an English Village during the British colonial times. Visit a tea plantation
and a factory to see Sri Lanka's most famous product being grown. Sri Lanka
produce a significant share of the world best tea as "Pure Ceylon tea".
Nuwara-Eliya is popular for the scenic view because of its invigorating mountains
and architecture to support. Sri Lanka s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet)
is located within the city limits. Nuwara-Eliya also has one of the finest 18 hole golf
courses in South Asia.











Horton Plains

Horton Plains is located on a high windswept saddle at about 7000-ft elevation. The
Plains are an expanse of misty grassland with scraggy trees and ice-cold rivulets.
Visit World's End considered to be the finest view in all of Sri Lanka. The awesome
escarpment drops vertically for about 4000 ft, hence its named as Horton Plains.
Here you could fine Sri Lankan endemic Slender Loris and endemic Purple Monkey
amongst the many animal species that will attract your attention.
